FAQs

What clothing?
Even in the summer months under the canopy of the trees it can stay cool. Long sleeve tops and trousers are advised when playing in the woods. A thin puddle suit is also advisable when playing with water and mud. In the winter or wet weather, wellies are a must, with warm layers and a thicker puddle suit or waterproofs. We encourage messy play so a change of clothes can be useful (NB. We do not have access to a changing room, only toilets.)
Is there a shelter?
We have two main shelters on site offering protection from all weathers. There is also a retractable canopy offering further shelter. For those feeling adventurous, you can create your own dens!

Are there toilets?
There is access to toilets close to the main activity area. We ask that wellies and dirty shoes are removed before using this area to keep it tidy and mud free for others
Are there refreshments?
Water and biscuits will be available for all paying children and there is a small selection of hot drinks for adults to purchase at a small cost.

Is it wheelchair and pushchair accessible?
Yes, there are cleared paths accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
We do however ask for pushchairs to be parked within our Sensory Garden area to prevent accidents and to keep the area clear for children to play.

Parking and Access to site
There is free parking just across the road at Bentley Heath Park (avoid the Community Centre carpark as this is for their patrons). Please do not park on the road leading to the school or attempt to use the school car park.
You will be met at the front of the school gates at the booked session time.
There will be a five minute window to access the site to minimise disruption to the school. Once this window has passed, we may not be able to return to the gates due to safety ratios so please ensure that you are there in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.
Under 6 Months
Babies under 6 months are free with an accompanying paying child (and adult)
If you wish to attend a session with only a 0-6 month old a small fee of £1 will be due.
